Forensic scientists interact with the criminal justice system to collect, examine and evaluate criminal evidence. Professionals must have substantial technical expertise, analytic and thinking abilities, superior communications skills and an awareness of the scientist’s ethical responsibilities in the legal process.
The career scope for forensic scientists is vast. After completing the degree, students may be employed in Forensic Laboratories, Detective Offices, Banks and other government and private agencies, or open a self-owned forensic practice.
